Kentucky Suffers Another Early Shock: Last season, Gardner-Webb upset Kentucky in Lexington in the second game of the season. This season, it’s VMI that shocked the Wildcats. The Keydets survived a late Kentucky rally to win 111-103. VMI plays one of the most aggressive styles in college basketball, and the pressure got to Kentucky. With the assistance of 13 three-pointers, the Keydets built a 24-point lead in the second half, then held on for the win after Kentucky cut the deficit to one. VMI’s 111 points is the most points allowed by a Kentucky team in nearly 20 years. [11/15/08]
