No. 9 Hartford picked up only its third win since the calendar turned to 2009 by beating No. 8 Maine 65-56 in the opening round of the America East Conference Tournament. Senior guard Jaret von Rosenberg was 6-of-12 from the field and finished with 21 points to lead the Hawks. Hartford advances to play No. 1 Binghamton, which won both meetings with the Hawks in the regular season.
