America East: Retrievers Move Closer to Repeating as Champs

Senior guard Jay Greene played all 40 minutes for No. 6 UMBC, scoring 29 points and dishing out six assists to lead the Retrievers past No. 7 Albany 64-58. Greene hit five of the team’s six three-pointers and 10-of-12 free throws. The America East defending champion will look to win a second consecutive bid to the NCAA Tournament in Saturday’s championship game.

(1) Binghamton 72, (4) New Hampshire 67

No. 1 Binghamton outlasted No. 4 New Hampshire 72-67 to move into the championship game. The Bearcats will host UMBC Saturday. Junior guard D.J. Rivera sealed the win by stealing the ball with 10 seconds left and dunking it to give Binghamton a two-possession lead. He led the Bearcats with 26 points.
