After a disappointing season at High Point, the Panthers fired coach Bart Lundy. In six seasons at High Point, Lundy compiled a 96-87 record and took the Panthers to the Big South championship game in 2004 — in the height of Winthrop’s domination of the Big South. The Panthers went 9-21 this season and 4-14 in the Big South. Three of High Point’s wins this season came against non-Division I opponents. Lundy arrived at High Point after worked for five seasons at Division II Queens, in Charlotte, N.C.
