No. 1 Western Kentucky returns to the NCAA Tournament after reaching the Sweet 16 last season. The Hilltoppers beat back No. 6 South Alabama 64-56 after allowing a 15-point first-half lead to slip away. Western Kentucky started the game on an 11-0 run, but South Alabama rallied after halftime with a 18-4 run. Junior guard A.J. Slaughter helped the Hilltoppers regain control with a team-high 18 points.
