Arkansas: Pelphrey Suspends Henry Indefinitely

For the second time this season, Arkansas coach John Pelphrey suspended freshman Jason Henry for violating team rules. Pelphrey did not specify the nature of the violation, but the Associated Press has this comment from the Razorbacks’ coach:

“‘Part of being a Razorback is meeting the high standards of the University of Arkansas and the basketball program,’ Pelphrey said. ‘(Henry) will remain a part of the team, but he will not travel to Tampa for the SEC tournament.'”

Because Arkansas is 14-15, the suspension means Henry’s season is over unless the Razorbacks make an improbable run to claim the SEC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The freshman swingman averages 8.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
