Mid-American: Buffalo Closes in on Tourney Trip

(3) Buffalo 64, (2) Ball State 52

No. 3 Buffalo is a game away from its first NCAA Tournament trip after beating No. 2 Ball State 64-52. The Bulls led the Mid-American Conference for much of the season before faltering late and falling into a tie for first with Bowling Green. Junior forward Max Boudreau led Buffalo with 21 points, making 8-of-10 shots.

(5) Akron 63, (1) Bowling Green 55

No. 5 Akron upset top-seeded Bowling Green 63-55 by shutting down everyone not named Nate Miller. Miller led the Falcons with 27 points, but he was the only Bowling Green player to score in double figures. Akron shot 43 percent from the field and had three players in double figures. The Zips also dominated the rebounding battle 39-21.
