Mountain West: Aztecs and Utes Surge to Championship Game

(4) San Diego State 64, (1) BYU 62

Lorenzo Wade’s dunk with six minutes to go gave San Diego State the lead, and he scored 10 of the team’s final 12 points to help push the Aztecs past No. 1 BYU 64-62. The Aztecs might be off the bubble and into the NCAA Tournament, even if they lose to Utah in the Mountain West championship game.

(2) Utah 68, (6) Wyoming 55

No. 2 Utah advanced to the championship game by beating No. 6 Wyoming 68-55. Luke Nevill led the Utes with 23 points and 15 rebounds as the Cowboys did not have anyone in the post who could slow Utah’s big man.
