Big Ten: Ohio State Upsets Michigan State

No. 1 Michigan State probably let a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament slip away with an 82-70 loss to No. 5 Ohio State in the semifinals. Sophomore swingman Evan Turner led the Buckeyes with 18 points and 10 rebounds, and the Buckeyes shot 53 percent from the field to pull away from the Spartans in the second half.

(3) Purdue 66, (2) Illinois 56

No. 3 Purdue broke through against No. 2 Illinois, beating the Illini 66-56 for the first win in three tries this season against Illinois. JaJuan Johnson led the Boilermakers with 20 points, and Robbie Hummel added 19 points and 12 rebounds. Illinois fell behind by 20 at halftime and couldn’t shoot well enough to recover.
