No. 1 Morgan State shook off a slow start with an 18-0 run that gave the Bears a lead they would never relinquish in an 83-69 win against No. 3 Norfolk State. The Bears’ MEAC championship gives the team its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Reggie Holmes led Morgan State with 20 points, and Kevin Simpson added a double-double off the bench with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
