No. 1 Utah State left nothing to chance, beating No. 2 Nevada 72-62 to win the WAC automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Aggies’ 29 victories might have been enough for an at-large bid, but the 30th ensured they wouldn’t need to sweat on Selection Sunday. Senior forward Gary Wilkinson led Utah State with 21 points, and junior guard Jared Quayle and sophomore forward Tai Wesley each had double-doubles. Quayle finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Wesley added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
