For the second consecutive year, Texas A&M beat BYU as a No. 9 seed, with the Aggies winning 79-66 this year. The Cougars failed to play good defense, allowing Texas A&M to jump out to a 26-8 lead and shoot nearly 60 percent throughout the game. BYU had no defensive answer for junior forward Bryan Davis, who led the Aggies with 21 points.
