North Carolina Central promoted assistant coach LeVelle Moton to be the Eagles’ next coach, replacing Henry Dickerson. The university did not extend Dickerson a new contract after the Eagles finished the season 4-27. The former coach led NC Central for five seasons, including the past two as a Division I newcomer. Dickerson had an 8-53 record in D-I play. Moton has been on the staff for the past two years after coaching high school in Raleigh for three years.
