Hampton coach Kevin Nickleberry has resigned to pursue other opportunities, according to a university press release. Nickleberry coached the Pirates for three seasons. He decided to announce his resignation now to avoid damaging the team’s recruiting efforts throughout the spring and summer. The press release provides more details about Nickleberry’s tenure.
“I want to thank Coach Nickelberry for his three years of service to Hampton University,” stated Hardy. “Coach Nickelberry is a dynamic young coach, one of the country’s top recruiters and an individual who has a bright future ahead of him.
