Villanova: Wildcats Hero Enters Draft

Villanova junior guard Scottie Reynolds has decided to enter the NBA Draft and gather information about his status. He will not hire an agent, which means that if he does not like the feedback from scouts, he can return to school. Reynolds averaged 15.2 points per game, and no points were bigger than his last-second, full-court drive against Pittsburgh in the Elite Eight that ended with a game-winning floater that sent Villanova to the Final Four. Reynolds is projected as a late first-round or early second-round pick. The Wildcats have a talented lineup returning, including one of the top recruiting classes. Coach Jay Wright said in a university press release that he supports Reynolds’ decision to test the NBA Draft process.

“Scottie and I have decided that it would be smart for him to experience NBA workouts at this time,” stated Villanova head coach Jay Wright. “This will enable him to assess where he fits in the draft process this year and give him a better understanding of what it takes to play at that level.
