Maryland junior guard Greivis Vasquez announced that he will enter the NBA Draft, though he does not plan to hire an agent. Vasquez wants to receive feedback from NBA scouts during pre-draft events and workouts and evaluate his standing. The Terrapins’ most electric player, Vasquez averaged 17.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game this past season. Vasquez said in a press release that he recognizes the value of receiving input from professional talent evaluators.

“It’s a good time to do this as a junior,” said Vasquez. “This way, I’ll get a taste of what I need to do to be successful and see where I am as a player. To play at the highest level eventually has always been a dream of mine.”
