New Orleans has dismissed junior guard Darrian McKinstry for violating team rules. He was third on the team in scoring this past season, averaging 10.0 points and 2.7 assists per game. However, the team suspended him three times, and he missed six games, which hurt the Privateers’ depth in the backcourt. He played only one season at New Orleans after arriving as a transfer from Fullerton, Calif., Junior College.
