UCLA will renovate Pauley Pavilion, starting in February 2010, to create a more impressive glass entrance, upgrade the men’s and women’s locker rooms, and add more than 1,000 seats to the stadium to raise capacity to 14,000. The school will finance the construction through its Campaign of Champions fundraising drive, which already has $52.5 million from donors and sponsors. The rest will come from student fees and other financing options. The university plans to complete construction in fall 2012 and will force the basketball teams to find another home for the 2011-12 games. The Bruins are considering playing home games at the Staples Center, the Honda Center or the Forum.
