USC coach Tim Floyd resigned today in a letter sent to Trojan officials. Floyd coached the Trojans for four seasons and compiled an 85-40 record.

NCAA: Rules Committee Approves Three Changes
Starting with the upcoming season, the NCAA will have a more NBA-like feel. The Rules Oversight Panel adopted three rules changes that borrow from ones that the NBA already has in place regarding charges, free throw shooting after fouls and replays for determining flagrant fouls.
LSU: Mitchell Wants Another Year to Improve
Tasmin Mitchell withdrew his name from the NBA Draft Monday and will return to the Tigers for the 2009-10 season. Mitchell, who will be a fifth-year senior, averaged 16.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
