Pittsburgh received a boost to its backcourt with the late summer addition of former Centenary guard Chase Adams, according to an Associated Press report. Adams averaged 14 points per game last season for the Gentlemen and was the Summit League defensive player of the year. In addition to providing solid depth to the Panthers’ stable of guards, Adams will be eligible to play immediately because Centenary is dropping out of Division I to Division III, which means Adams does not need to sit out a year as required for D-I transfers.
