Coach Ben Jacobson has received a seven-year contract extension from Northern Iowa, according to an Associated Press report. The new deal will pay Jacobson $290,000 per season, which almost doubles the coach’s yearly income.
Northern Iowa went 23-11 last season, won a share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season title and participated in the NCAA Tournament.
