The Southeast Missouri State’s men’s and women’s basketball teams were hit with multiple penalties for NCAA violations, according to an Associated Press report.
The violations, which occurred between 2006-08, included impermissible benefits to players and coaches being present at summer strength and conditioning activities and pickup games.
The programs were placed on probation through 2013. The men’s team also lost a scholarship and must give up wins from the period during which the violations took place.
