Southern Illinois-Edwardsville coach Lennox Forrester hired Matt Laur to be an assistant coach with the Cougars, according to the Belleville News-Democrat.
Laur comes to Edwardsville from Ball State, where he worked as director of basketball operations. He helped the team plan practice and travel, exchange film with opponents, prepare summer camps, and tutor athletes.
The Cougars will enter the second year of their transition to Division I competition.
