Duke guard Nolan Smith will serve a two-game suspension for playing in a summer game with overseas players and professionals near his hometown of Washington, D.C., according to an Associated Press report.
Smith will not be available for the Nov. 13 opener against UNC-Greensboro and a Nov. 17 game against Coastal Carolina. He only played in one half on Tuesday night during an 84-48 exhibition win over Findlay. The move was supposed to get his teammates adjusted to his absence.
