North Carolina will be without P.J. Hairston for some games this season. That much is known. How it affects their season remains to be seen, but while they won’t be as good without him there will be opportunity in those early games.

Thoughts from the month of July
Another July has passed, and with that in mind here are a few thoughts on players, teams and the overall landscape of a period that looks to be more important all the time.
Transfer waivers have gotten out of hand
Numerous transfers are getting waivers every year to play without having to sit out a year. This has gotten out of hand, and the case of Isaac Hamilton and UTEP may be the next test of this.
