After Northeastern first joined the Colonial Athletic Association, there were skeptics about whether or not they would win. On Monday night, they completed their long road to a championship.
Semifinal loss at Arch Madness does not diminish Loyola’s improvement
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (March 7) – Sometimes, in order to fully appreciate a team’s season, one has to take a look at what was expected of them before it. In the case of Loyola (Ill.), if one would’ve told Rambler fans before the season that their team would win 19 games and advance to the semifinals of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, they would’ve been tickled pink.

Northern Iowa shows another side in winning MVC title
The book on Northern Iowa, or at least the popular one anyway, is that the Panthers this year are a really good team because of their defense and Seth Tuttle. Little is said of its offense, but let it be known: Northern Iowa is pretty darn good on that end, too.
The place for improvement is clear for James Madison
James Madison overcame a lot to finish tied for first in the CAA this year. Where they need to improve is clear after Saturday’s quarterfinal loss, and they hope to get a chance to address it soon.
Family helped Elon get off the mat and win late games
Elon had to face a lot of adversity in its first season in the CAA. Through it all, it was a family atmosphere that got them through and helped them finally win a few more games late in the season.
