Tulsa: Golden Hurricanes Extend Wojcik’s Contract
Tulsa coach Doug Wojcik has agreed to a two-year extension from his original contract and will stay with the Golden Hurricanes through the 2014-15 season.

Radford: Johnson Charged With Larceny
Radford junior point guard Amir Johnson is facing felony charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny. Johnson averaged 9.6 points and 5.2 assists per game.
Clemson: Purnell Earns Another Extension
An Associated Press report states that Clemson coach Oliver Purnell has agreed to stay with the Tigers through 2016. Purnell will sign a two-year extension that will boost his salary from $50,000 a year to $275,000.
Akron: Zips Extend Dambrot’s Contract
Akron coach Keith Dambrot received a two-year contract extension, a deal which will keep him on the Zips’ sidelines through 2016. Dambrot has a 115-51 record in five seasons at Akron, making the program one of the winningest ones during that span.
UCLA: Gordon Goes Down at USA Tryouts
According to a UCLA release, an attempt to be patriotic went wrong as sophomore Drew Gordon partially tore a tendon in his right knee at the 2009 USA Basketball Under-19 World Championship Team Trials in Colorado Springs, Colo. Gordon averaged 3.6 points and 3.4 rebounds per game last season.
Louisville: Accused Pitino Extortionist Says She Was Set Up
Karen Cunagin Sypher, a woman accused of trying to extort Louisville coach Rick Pitino, said was “set up” and will “prove my innocence,” although she fears that a fair trial will be difficult because of Pitino’s rock star status among Louisville residents.
Oklahoma State: Sutton Honored in Kansas
Eddie Sutton will get his due and be inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Oct. 4. Sutton is a native of Bucklin, Kan.
Illinois: Williams, Former Big Ten POY, Arrested on Drug Charges
Former Illinois star Frank Williams and his brother were arrested June 10 after police found 78 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and a .40 caliber handgun.
