New Georgia coach Mark Fox has hired Stacey Palmore as an assistant coach. Palmore comes to Athens from Virginia Tech, where he worked for coach Seth Greenberg since 2004.

Campbell officials have decided to leave the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2010 to join the Big South Conference. The Fighting Camels were a founding member of the Big South but joined the Atlantic Sun less than a decade later.

Southern Miss junior guard Jeremy Wise announced that he will sign with an agent, ending his collegiate eligibility. Wise apparently likes his projections for the NBA Draft and will not return for his senior season after averaging 16.7 points and 4.7 assists per game.

New Orleans: Privateers Force McKinstry Off the Boat
New Orleans has dismissed junior guard Darrian McKinstry for violating team rules. He was third on the team in scoring this past season, averaging 10.0 points and 2.7 assists per game.
UCLA: Bruins to Upgrade Home Court
UCLA will renovate Pauley Pavilion, starting in February 2010, to create a more impressive glass entrance, upgrade the men’s and women’s locker rooms, and add more than 1,000 seats to the stadium to raise capacity to 14,000. The university plans to complete construction in fall 2012 and will force the basketball teams to find another home for the 2011-12 games.
Washington State: Bone Gets Seven-Year Deal
Washington State has released the financial details of new coach Ken Bone’s contract. Bone will get a seven-year contract that will pay him at least $650,000 per year.
