North Carolina: Tar Heels Reach Championship Game
Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington and Tyler Hansbrough started this season on a mission to win the national championship for North Carolina. The Tar Heels are now a game away from completing that goal after dispatching Villanova 83-69. The three stars led the Tar Heels again, posting 60 points.
Georgia Welcomes Fox to the Dogs’ House
Georgia hired Nevada coach Mark Fox April 2 to resuscitate the Bulldogs’ program. In five seasons at Nevada, Fox has a 123-43 record and took the Wolf Pack to five consecutive post-season appearances, including three NCAA Tournaments.
Michigan: Sophomore Guard Decides to Transfer
Michigan sophomore guard Kelvin Grady will leave the Wolverines to transfer to another school, coach John Beilein announced April 2. Grady provided backcourt depth for the Wolverines, averaging 4.2 points and 1.9 assists per game this season.
Canisius: Assistant Resigns After Child Abuse Arrest
Canisius assistant coach Lazare Adingono resigned April 2 after he was arrested Feb. 10 and charged with second-degree assault and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. Adingono was on leave since late February.

USC: Floyd Passes on Arizona
USC coach Tim Floyd pondered a move to the desert but opted to remain with the Trojans. Floyd has rejuvenated the program, making it a regular destination for top recruits. Memphis also tried to pry Floyd away from Southern Cal.
Hawaii: Nash Gets Extra Year
Hawaii extended the contract of coach Bob Nash by one year, ensuring Nash will be on the sidelines for the Rainbow Warriors through 2011. After two seasons, Nash has a 24-36 record.
Liberty: McKay Leaves for Virginia
Liberty coach Ritchie McKay announced that he will leave the Flams to become an assistant coach at Virginia. McKay had a 39-28 record in two seasons at Liberty, and he recruited Seth Curry to Lynchburg for one season.
Oregon: Kent Hires Dunlap as an Assistant Coach
After finishing 8-23 this past season, Oregon is changing the makeup of its coaching staff with the hiring of assistant coach Mike Dunlap. Head coach Ernie Kent opted to hire Dunlap rather than renew the contract of Mark Hudson.
