On Saturday, a new coalition called Boston Athletes United for Change held The Dream Is Real Basketball Clinic at Madison Park High School. The event brought together mostly junior high school and young high school players in the area, with a number of players who grew up in the area and have gone through life as a student-athlete on hand to help with instruction.

Florida, Michigan State, Rutgers and UMass have been announced as regional hosts for the 2009 Legends Classic. Those four schools will all advance to the championship rounds on November 27 and 28 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.

With the first live period in July now in the books, we take a look back at the players we saw. Who were the best, who improved their stock the most, and who left something to be desired?

Our last stop in the first live period was back in New Jersey for the first day of the Joe Brown Memorial Tournament. There, we saw 15 teams competing in pool play, with the playoffs set to follow the next day.

On an otherwise quiet day on the east coast, a number of teams came to Connecticut for the Super 16 Showcase. We take a look at some of the players we saw in the one-day event.

Friday was the last day of the Reebok All-American Camp, and it was largely wings who shined on this day.

Wednesday was the first day that the Reebok All-American Camp was open to college coaches and the media. We look back at that day and Thursday, where point guards and big men led the way.

We look back at the Hoop Group Elite Camp, held for the first time in a long time in a new location. The event had over 700 campers, and we found some who stood out.
