A relatively new fall high school basketball league is starting to make waves in Boston. The reasons are simple: kids compete, they know each other, and good teams from inside and even well outside the city come to play.

We look back at the second annual New England Elite 75 Frosh/Soph edition, where we got a look at plenty of young talent.

It’s a new year and a new look for the Brimmer & May School. Last season’s team made it to the semifinals of NEPSAC Class B before bowing out, certainly not a bad run for a team in its first year there and that two years earlier was in Class D. If this season’s team is to make a similar run, they will have to do it differently.

Brewster Academy has another team stacked with talent and depth. At the end of the day, it won’t surprise anyone if they are once again in the hunt for a NEPSAC Class A title.

St. Mark’s once again drew a good crowd of college coaches on Sunday. There’s a simple reason: they have plenty of talent once again for a third straight title run.

Boston Trinity Academy has been on a roll the past two years, going 55-6. This season’s team will try to keep that going.

New Hampton Prep has some good talent, including a frontcourt that doesn’t have much in numbers but is better than some might think.

Cushing Academy will once again put a team on the floor whose best players are young. But they have a lot going for them that can make up for that against the more experienced teams they will face.

Another year means another Notre Dame Prep team ready to press opponents into submission with a lot of guards.

Northfield Mount Hermon has more talent and more options this season, but also a better personnel mix. That could mean a better ending than the one last season had.
