Defense helps Towson as they gain experience
Towson has a very inexperienced squad this season, and the results thus far are not surprising. The Tigers have done as well as they have largely because of their defense, and that has helped as the players grow offensively.

Friday night wasn’t quite the snoozer this time around, with a few close ones on tap. One conference has a lot of teams tied for first place. That, plus changes to the NIT, a couple of Longhorns banged up and a Buckeye suspended at least a little longer.
We’re going to learn more about George Washington
George Washington is in the midst of a key stretch against some of the Atlantic 10’s other top teams. They started with two road losses, but we’ll learn something about this team in the next few games as they try to bounce back.

Rhode Island continues to grow up
Rhode Island continues to grow and now has some wins to show for their efforts. That will only help as they quietly try to contend in a suddenly more interesting Atlantic 10 race.

With help from a few more supporters, Bucknell is really clicking on offense now and emerging as a clear contender in the Patriot League. Winning on the road doesn’t hurt, either.
