Despite a hit on the bottom line, Stony Brook’s transition continues
Stony Brook was able to hang with Providence until the roof caved in several minutes into the second half. It’s part of a growing process this team in transition needs, and it continues despite dropping a few games along the way.

Maine has a long road ahead as they rebuild under new head coach Bob Walsh. Amidst the early struggles, the Black Bears have shown some reason for hope going forward.
Rhode Island has potential amidst some difficulty
Rhode Island has at times looked like a team with the potential to contend in the Atlantic 10, and at other times they have had some difficulty. Both were present in their rivalry game at Providence.
A look back: FDU’s win over Princeton and its significance
Fairleigh Dickinson’s rebuilding continues, and it included another signature win as they knocked off Princeton. This was one they had to sweat out right until the final buzzer.

Western Michigan should grow from non-conference challenges
Western Michigan’s latest challenge in a non-conference slate full of them was at Northeastern. The Broncos lost, but should grow from the adversity they have had to face thus far.

Boston College gets a win that could boost their season
Boston College scored a nice win over Providence in a well-contested battle. It’s the kind of win that should boost the Eagles not only from a quality win standpoint, but also confidence and in terms of playing how they have to play to win.
