Holy Cross coach Ralph Willard resigned today to accept an associate coach position at Louisville. He joins Rick Pitino for a third time in his career after working with Louisville’s coach in the late 1980s. At Holy Cross, Willard had nearly 200 wins in 10 seasons.

USC coach Tim Floyd resigned today in a letter sent to Trojan officials. Floyd coached the Trojans for four seasons and compiled an 85-40 record.

The All-Pac 10 Arizona guard is coming back for his senior season. Wise averaged 15.7 points, 4.6 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game.

With the June 15 decision date rapidly approaching, Villanova junior guard Scottie Reynolds is seriously considering returning to school. Reynolds helped lead the Wildcats to the Final Four by averaging 15.2 points and 3.4 assists per game.

Starting with the upcoming season, the NCAA will have a more NBA-like feel. The Rules Oversight Panel adopted three rules changes that borrow from ones that the NBA already has in place regarding charges, free throw shooting after fouls and replays for determining flagrant fouls.

Tasmin Mitchell withdrew his name from the NBA Draft Monday and will return to the Tigers for the 2009-10 season. Mitchell, who will be a fifth-year senior, averaged 16.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

Memphis forward Shawn Taggart has made it official: He’s skipping his senior season with the Tigers and keeping his name in the NBA Draft. Taggart averaged 10.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

Tulsa coach Dough Wojcik announced that Connecticut guard Scottie Haralson has transferred to the university and will be eligible to play for the Golden Hurricane starting in the 2010-11 season. Haralson averaged 1.4 points in 4.1 minutes per game.

Memphis officials attended a hearing that the NCAA Infractions Committee held to discuss reported violations and the academic record of a former player, believed to be Derrick Rose. School officials reiterated their stance that the team should not vacate any of the 38 wins from the 2007-08 season.

The Fighting Camels have found an assistant coach in 32-year-old Marlon Sears, a former college standout who played overseas for three seasons before starting his coaching career in 2002.
