Dartmouth is now establishing their identity as Ivy League play approaches. This is an important year for their core, and they can certainly be competitive this year as their players continue to mature.

A busy Saturday is in the books, and we saw the matchups get better, the results continue to be noteworthy and tell us more, and a couple of the games needed a lot of extra time to decide.
Despite a hit on the bottom line, Stony Brook’s transition continues
Stony Brook was able to hang with Providence until the roof caved in several minutes into the second half. It’s part of a growing process this team in transition needs, and it continues despite dropping a few games along the way.
Amidst Maine’s rebuilding challenge, there is hope
Maine has a long road ahead as they rebuild under new head coach Bob Walsh. Amidst the early struggles, the Black Bears have shown some reason for hope going forward.

Questions abound for Boston University early on
Boston University has had flashes of its potential thus far, but the wins have been hard to come by and the Terriers are struggling to find confidence and roles to help them get there.

Houston went on the road and was soundly defeated by Harvard on Tuesday. It’s a game that Kelvin Sampson hopes to take a lot from early in his tenure with a new-look team as they try to find out who they are.
Young UNLV team grows in Brooklyn
Teams often grow from early season tournaments, and that appears to be what UNLV did in Brooklyn. The young Runnin’ Rebels need the experience.
Simply put, Syracuse needs to improve offensively
Jim Boeheim didn’t have many things to say about his team’s offense, but that said it all. It’s at that end of the floor that Syracuse’s fate this season will be determined.
