All four teams in the NIT Season Tip-Off appeared to have a real chance to emerge victorious, and it was one that left there with two impressive wins. Each team had something to take away, with the team that lost twice having a lot to work on.

A big win for a program that has been quietly solid for a while is the latest sign that this could be a year where they break through for the postseason. Plus a comeback win down south, the Irish take a personnel hit, and there is at least some good news with a future three-game series.

Auburn won the Legends Classic in impressive fashion, while the other three teams that competed in Brooklyn have their own takeaways from their two games at the Barclays Center.
