One preseason favorite is certainly living up to that billing and scored a convincing win to add to that on Friday night. Plus a first loss in the Ivy, some close ones in the MAAC, and a ho-hum game further west on a quiet night.

Rhode Island finally broke through and should do so again
After some close calls, Rhode Island finally broke through to reach the NCAA Tournament last season. This time around, they should at least get that far once again after contending for the Atlantic 10 crown.

Saturday night’s game between Providence and Rhode Island was all one could ask for in a rivalry game. It’s one that will be even more memorable later in the season, when both are more fully developed.
