Iowa and LSU continue to be two of the bigger teases in the country. That much remained certain after last night, when-just when you’re ready to believe in them-both suffered losses that can only be categorized as disappointing.

“Anybody can beat anybody” is a cliché. It’s also being proven on a regular basis early in this college basketball season. The upsets keep coming this year, and if there’s one thing we’re learning early this college basketball season, it is that you cannot take anyone lightly. That seems to go especially for NCAA Division I newcomers and transitional members.

Ah, it’s started already. We’re still a couple weeks away from final exams for most schools, a time when especially it seems like highly favored schools need to pay a little extra attention in games that they should win easily. But we saw several teams have more trouble than expected in games Tuesday night that all expected to be blowouts.
