The 2019-20 season was as competitive as expected in the CAA both in the regular season and the conference tournament. In the end, the winner of both was a team that had been close before and finally broke through.

Hofstra had a nice halftime lead, but almost let Thursday night’s game in Boston get away for another tough loss to Northeastern. That’s when Desure Buie and Eli Pemberton helped them pull one out with a lot of toughness when it counted.
