It was a great night for a few players in the Ivy League while the race evened up. Plus the Horizon League has a regular season champion, the Gators have some personnel questions, and the Miners will be short a coach on what will be a very busy day of action.

For a half last night in its game against Georgia, Arkansas was looking like same old Arkansas on the road, but in the second half the Razorbacks battled back on the road and got a big 79-75 win at Georgia.

It’s not fair to say Stanford and UNLV faced must-win situations last night, but boy, both sure could’ve used wins in their games against top 10 opponents.

We’re down to nine unbeaten teams after Saturday, though the 10th undefeated left this season did not go quietly. Northern Iowa made the trip to VCU for the second time in four seasons, and the game between the Panthers and Rams was the best of the day Saturday. Virginia Commonwealth got a cold-blooded three-pointer from Treveon Graham in the second overtime and went on to a 93-87 win for a much-needed bounce back after the Rams’ loss at home to Virginia a week ago.

2013-14 MAAC Post-Mortem
The always-competitive MAAC had a membership change that was a net positive in the first year of the change. While the same two teams battled for the title as last year and could again next year, there were some other highlights as well.
