Friday night wasn’t quite the snoozer this time around, with a few close ones on tap. One conference has a lot of teams tied for first place. That, plus changes to the NIT, a couple of Longhorns banged up and a Buckeye suspended at least a little longer.
Tuesday featured a quality slate of games in college basketball, a deserved honor for a longtime television voice, and a near miss in the first attempt at a major milestone for another basketball lifer.
A couple of years ago, times were not good at Texas. The Longhorns have come a long way between than and Friday night, when they won the 2K Classic.
