USBWA award ballots were due recently, and after taking a look at how I voted for the CAA awards last week, now is a good time to look at how I voted for these postseason awards.

It was a great night for a few players in the Ivy League while the race evened up. Plus the Horizon League has a regular season champion, the Gators have some personnel questions, and the Miners will be short a coach on what will be a very busy day of action.

Sears wanted Yale to win and showed it emphatically
Justin Sears really wanted Yale to win their season opener against Central Connecticut and showed it quite emphatically in more ways than one. The Bulldogs did just that, so he was happy along with his teammates.
History doesn’t repeat itself for Yale to start big road stretch
History nearly repeated itself in Yale’s win at Bryant on Wednesday night. Fortunately, it didn’t, and they started off a tough road stretch with a much-needed win as well as some positive developments.
