In America East, there was a different look and familiarity all in the same season. It was also a season that largely went as many figured, at least up until the end.

A forgettable season at Maine is almost over, and while the Black Bears will have almost everyone back next season, avoiding a repeat of this season won’t be trivial.
Maine’s early offensive struggles shouldn’t persist
Like most teams at this time of the year, Maine is very much a work in progress. In the Black Bears’ case, their early 0-2 mark, which could easily be 1-1, isn’t necessarily a sign of things to come with this team. Though young, this team also hasn’t really had their full squad together very much, and that’s one reason to think this team has some better basketball ahead.
Intangibles Make a Difference For Maine
Maine lost at home to Brown, Delaware State and Columbia, but they won at UMass and Penn State. The Black Bears may seem tough to figure out, but there’s a real key to their results: intangibles like a sense of urgency, focus and unselfishness.
