In our latest podcast, we’re joined by Stadium insider Jeff Goodman and talk about a number of subjects, especially the state of the game. Later, we look at a long losing streak that came to a halt, a team that still has a chance to run the table, and what games to look forward to.
Another Saturday has come and gone with a couple of very notable firsts along the way. We have notes on those games and much more right here.
A Big Ten program that hasn’t been relevant in some time just might be moving back in that direction after all, despite a few earlier misses. Plus the two undefeated teams were both in action, a Big East team gets back on track, and one coach will get to stay in his current job a little longer.
Conference play took over for the first Saturday of 2020, and along the way road teams had a fair amount of success. We take a look at notes from many of the day’s games as it was a busy day of action.
We look back at the Diamond Head Classic championship, with the winner clearly trending upward, and then back to a busy Saturday. Included in that Saturday was a blueblood losing two in a row through offensive struggles, and then we talk about a departed big man.

Marquette got all they could handle for a while, before their best player took over and got some help along the way. Plus one guy comes through twice in a double overtime game, a few other results of note, and a program goes on probation.
A little surprisingly, a big man has decided to abruptly move on and prepare for his future outside of college, but there is likely to be a lasting impact of some sort. Plus a Spartan won’t play this year, a big win in Newark, and some Tigers continue lead the way in the SEC.
In our last podcast before Christmas, we talk about a blueblood falling on hard times, a conference that had a tough night and should be a wide-open race, and the leader dealing with potential compensation matters.
Let’s give Gonzaga credit while talking about North Carolina’s concerns, because the Tar Heels lost to a really good team. Plus a tough night for the SEC, another tripleheader of action, and the leader of the pack wonders why so few people trust his organization.
