One of the last games of the night was all we could hope for and more, and also leaves one hopeful about future matchups between the two teams. Plus more tournaments get going, a straw breaks the camel’s back with transfer waivers, and a Wildcat is gone from the program.

With a little more of a sample size, we can now say that one conference is showing some signs of a real resurgence in the early going. Plus we can further over-analyze one team that much has been expected from, another win for one team is another good sign, and a few other noteworthy results from the day.

The Big East appears to have met its match in the early going in the Gavitt Tipoff Games, narrowly avoiding a sweep on the evening. Plus a good win in Richmond, another stinker in Tampa, and a good road win for a Big 12 team.
2018-19 Big 12 Post-Mortem
For the first time in 15 years, the Big 12 champion was not Kansas. The league was once again atop conference rankings, though, led by a program whose rise the past couple years very nearly resulted in a national title.
