Even acknowledging that it took some time for the Badgers to find their way under him (remember, the team was 2-4 in his first six games), what Greg Gard has done righting a previously middling team at Wisconsin deserves serious notice, to the point where it’s hard to imagine many others could’ve done it better this year.

Providence-Rhode Island game will be even more memorable later
Saturday night’s game between Providence and Rhode Island was all one could ask for in a rivalry game. It’s one that will be even more memorable later in the season, when both are more fully developed.

You can go a long time in this college basketball season and not have a better day of games than Tuesday provided, as the day was loaded with power matchups, revivals of rivalries, and just plain good games that were worthy of the national platforms they were provided, even if played at times that were the furthest thing from prime time.
