As mentioned a few days ago, college basketball really could stand to improve its presence in the days immediately after Christmas with some long-lost holiday events. That said, if there was only going to be only one college basketball game the day after Christmas, there weren’t many better picks than Louisville at Kentucky.
Opening day of the 2014-15 season had it all – a scary moment, some ugly scores, some surprises, as well as off-court news like a season-long suspension and future Final Four sites being announced.
The championship game is set in the Big East, and it’s one more gift to all of us – a great matchup with a lot of angles, and a very appropriate one that we are lucky to have.
