2013-14 Northeast Conference Post-Mortem
The Northeast Conference has had a good run in recent years, and remains highly competitive. On a related note, the conference tournament also remained unpredictable, and saw a champion few would have figured when it started.

Sacred Heart showed signs of their progress on Tuesday night, but once again couldn’t come away with a win to show for it. Their strengths and weaknesses seem clear, and getting a win would help improve the confidence at this point.

With just one non-conference game left after Wednesday night’s game at Boston College, Dave Bike wanted to get a point across to his team and his best player. The long-time Sacred Heart mentor has a team with some offensive ability, and a few players in particular, but in the losing effort, they made a big rally without their best player on the floor.

Final Score Not the Best From Thursday For Providence
It’s easy to see the 111-87 final score and think Providence had a good night against Sacred Heart. That’s certainly true, as the Friars shot nearly 54 percent from the field, including a 13-30 showing from behind the arc, and forced 22 turnovers. But as is usually the case at this time of the year, the end result doesn’t tell the whole story. There were potentially two bigger bright spots on this evening: Marshon Brooks and Sharaud Curry.
