As four more NCAA Tournament bids go out, we had a little of everything in those games. Plus a few more championship game matchups are set, a few quarterfinal games were especially close, and the final regular season games are in the books.

Saturday included 14 ranked teams in action, including a trio of games matching two ranked squads. Three ranked teams were knocked off by unranked, and three more very nearly were. Number One went down. In the end, though, the biggest storyline were the undefeated teams. Specifically, the day started with three. By the end there were none.

A long-time coach who has had some success finally knocks off a ranked team. Plus a couple of other close calls on a night full of blowouts, a reserve is let go from a team, and one team’s great start continues to fade away.
2016-17 Southern Conference Post-Mortem
The ancient Southern Conference continues to show strength in the years after the loss of one of its premier programs, and a superb conference race highlighted an excellent overall year for the league.
