In a must-win game that was a big opportunity for the home team, Maryland rallied and then ripped their hearts out of them. Plus the leaders win in the Southern, a key guard comes back in a good win in the SEC, and a long show-cause will be one to keep in mind later on.
In our latest podcast, we’re joined by Stadium insider Jeff Goodman and talk about a number of subjects, especially the state of the game. Later, we look at a long losing streak that came to a halt, a team that still has a chance to run the table, and what games to look forward to.
A lot of off-court news led the way on this day, one story standing out much more than the others because of perspective. Plus the scuffling Red Storm have a big loss, a coach will have a few more years, and a couple of surprise results on the evening.
The Atlantic 10 went somewhat as expected this year in that the top three teams were expected to be there. Things will look a little different on the benches next year, and there may be other places where that is the case as well.

The Atlantic 10 couldn’t match the success of the prior season, but there’s no shame in that considering it was a tough act to follow. Going forward, it appears to be a bit of a mixed bag.
The picture in the Atlantic 10 at one time seemed relatively clear, but now that’s far from the case both with the standings and the NCAA potential for the teams as we have just a few weeks left.
A coaching legend passes, and many are remembering him for much more than what he did on the sideline. Plus a couple of conference races get tighter, and off-court issues arise in the northwest amidst wins on the day.
